Not too long ago, I was playing with chocolate, trying to come up with a truffle good enough to bring to my friend Gwenda's party at Plantagenet Rose in Roanoke, a wonderfully eclectic store. She thought they were better than good enough; actually she informed me that I would have go into business in order for her to sell them in her store. After five months of her "gentle persuasion", I finally relented and Baylee's Best Chocolates was born. As long as I would be selling my chocolates and putting my name on the label, I figured they had better be the best I could produce. Although my business has grown, each Baylee's Best confection is still handmade with love in Roanoke Virginia.
